Terms of Service
Last updated: April 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Finn app or any related services at meetfinn.app (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Finn ("we", "our", or "us"). We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Description of Service
Finn is a personal finance tracking application that allows you to:
- Connect your credit cards and bank accounts through Plaid, a secure third-party financial data provider.
- View and categorize your transactions and spending history.
- Track spending patterns and summaries across linked accounts.
Finn uses Plaid to securely retrieve financial data on your behalf. Your banking credentials are entered directly into Plaid's secure interface — Finn never sees or stores your bank username or password. Plaid's use of your data is governed by Plaid's End User Privacy Policy.
The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use. Finn is not a financial advisor and does not provide investment, tax, legal, or financial advice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using Finn, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement and that all information you provide is accurate and complete. The Service is intended for use in the United States only.
4. User Responsibilities and Prohibited Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:
- Use the Service for any fraudulent, deceptive, or unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service, our servers, or any system connected to the Service.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Service.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or interact with the Service.
- Transmit any viruses, malware, or other malicious code through the Service.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law or regulation.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated any of these restrictions.
5. Account Registration
To use the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately at support@meetfinn.app if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.
You may sign in using Google or X (Twitter) OAuth. Your use of those sign-in methods is also subject to the respective terms and privacy policies of Google and X.
6. Subscription Terms and Billing
Finn may offer free and paid subscription tiers. The following terms apply to paid subscriptions:
- Billing: Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
- Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access to paid features until that date.
- Refunds: All purchases are subject to Apple's refund policies. Finn does not issue refunds directly. Please contact Apple Support for refund requests.
- Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription prices. We will provide reasonable notice of any price changes before they take effect.
7. Termination of Service
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@meetfinn.app. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms, prolonged inactivity, or discontinuation of the Service. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any termination of your account or access to the Service.
Upon termination, we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Financial data displayed in Finn is retrieved from third-party providers and may not always reflect real-time balances or the most current transaction information. You should not rely solely on Finn for financial decisions.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FINN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.
IN NO EVENT SHALL FINN'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO FINN IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS (US $100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Finn and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another party.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Delaware.
If you are a consumer residing in a jurisdiction that requires a different governing law, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of your local law may apply.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via email or an in-app notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
